31 January 2026 – Birth with an attending midwife

I feel very grateful that I was able to get to know your family through you. You are so lucky to have been born into so much love. Your big sister, who is flourishing in her new role with such radiance and joy, and your parents, who welcomed you with such warmth and care.

Your birth was a particularly beautiful experience for me. Your mother was deep within herself, completely at one with herself and with you. There was a calm, warm atmosphere in the delivery room. Your father happened to fall ill on that very day, and yet he was by your side as much as he could be, and very close to you both in spirit.

At first, your mother coped with the contractions while standing, moving, dancing, and circling her pelvis. With every wave, the intensity grew stronger until she finally went into the water. There, she accepted contraction after contraction so bravely and powerfully. Soon it was clear that you were actively participating and truly wanted to arrive.

After only two pushing contractions, you were born—gently in the water and directly into the arms of your loving parents. I have found you to be just as calm and relaxed during the postpartum period as you were when you entered the world.

I am curious to see what kind of person you will become and whether you will be able to maintain this special sense of calm.

From the bottom of my heart, I am grateful that I was allowed to accompany you and your family for a part of this journey. All the best for your life.
