July 31, 2026 – Attending Midwife Birth

Towards the end of your time in the belly, your mother had many check-ups because we weren’t quite sure how well you were still growing. But your mother trusted her body, and we also felt that while you were a small, delicate lady, you were growing beautifully along your curve. I did take a little trip to Triemli with your mother and your grandfather before your birth, as we wanted to clarify whether your mother’s headache was really just a headache or if there was more to it. Fortunately, we were able to send you back home to your father and your sister, hoping that you would soon feel ready to come into the world and that the birth would start naturally. We had already given you one or two natural hints to start the birth. Then, perfectly on time and determined, you decided to come into the world in the early morning hours on your calculated due date. You gave your parents time to settle into the new surroundings of the delivery room. Your mother doubted herself for a moment before the birth, wondering if she could really do it, as the difficult final phase of your sister’s birth came back to her mind. I assured her that I firmly believed in her, that she could make it through the last few contractions of the birth and push you into the world all on her own. With a little support from the laughing gas, you came closer bit by bit. And after one last brave push from your mother, you were here. You were a small and fine, yet very lively and strong lady, and you were able to arrive peacefully on your mother’s chest. We were all delighted that you even managed to jump over the 2,500 g mark!

A warm welcome, little lioness! It was a pleasure to accompany you all!

All the best and much love!
