Somewhat surprisingly for the people around you, you decided to open your amniotic sac just before the weather changed. In doing so, you also fulfilled a small wish for your Mama. You gave her a sign that you wanted to come, slowly but surely, before the active labor began.
Not much happened over the next 24 hours. You were always doing well during the check-ups, and I chatted with your parents about our past travels in Australia. We tried a few tricks to stimulate the contractions, and your parents used the shared day off to get a few things done. Since you were obviously still very comfortable in Mama’s belly, we decided to serve your Mama a great cocktail at ‘Hotel Triemli’ so that she could walk into the delivery room without stress when the desired waves finally arrived.
Just as your Papa had fallen asleep, the contractions started—light ones at first. You two made your way to the delivery room, and I was also woken up and asked to make my way there comfortably. Shortly before I parked my car in the Triemli parking lot, I received another call informing me that everything was moving very quickly now and that I should come as soon as possible. So I hit the turbo and marched straight into the delivery room.
When I entered the room, your Mama’s body had already taken full control. There were several people present shortly before your birth, as it seemed that you were also a bit surprised by your own pace, which stressed you out a little. I had the feeling that your Mama wasn’t comfortable at all on the side she was lying on. So we tried the deep squat, in which your Mama pushed you into the world with just a few waves.
You cried out loudly right after birth, showing us all that you were doing well. Your Mama needed just a brief moment, as everything had happened a bit too fast. After a short breath, you were able to cuddle on Mama’s chest and very soon drink from the breast for the first time. Your Papa was also quite overwhelmed that you were already here.
Welcome to the world, little one!
I wish you very good health for your life and that you keep your strong temperament and your determination!
