What an incredible journey you two have been through. At first, it was a process figuring out where you should be born. Your mama could easily have pictured your home as the place from the very start, but you had other plans.
I really appreciated the openness of both your parents, and I can well imagine that this will serve you well in your life.
Andrea will describe the beginning of your birth. You worked through this together at home. I was at my mother-in-law’s birthday when the news came that you were reaching your limits at home. So it was that you headed to the Triemli Hospital that evening, and I came to take over from there.
Your mama looked exhausted, but she was still carrying her positive spirit with her. We now tried to coax you closer by medical means. But you wouldn’t budge from your position. Pushing up, turning, turning Mama and you, relaxing, sleeping – unfortunately, none of it managed to coax you into a position that would allow for birth.
So at some point the next day, we made the decision to bring you into the world by cesarean birth.
Your papa, who had worried during the pregnancy about how he would manage supporting the birth, seemed very calm and was able to be there for every step. I was very proud of him. Your mama, too, gave herself over to the situation as it was, and after a few tears, you were on her chest. Content, rosy, and arriving.
I wish you plenty of perseverance, health, and confidence on your path through life.
