It was a joy to accompany you and your mama. I already got to know your mama a little better when your big sister was born. For her young age, I found her to be extremely mature.
Time and again, we had deep conversations during your pregnancy, and you truly chose a powerhouse mama! Just like with your big sister, your mother’s strength of will showed at the last moment. And so, with a little natural encouragement, all of a sudden—boom—you were on your way. At the very last minute, of course. We were absolutely delighted.
Once at Triemli, you and Mama were enthroned in the bathtub, and Mama was directing Papa with the playlist. It was filled with slow but also very upbeat songs. If a song didn’t fit, your mama would always say: “Next, next.”
And so you drew closer. Soon your mama was able to touch you! When your head slipped out of your mama, we were so happy. Unfortunately, it was a bit more difficult to deliver your shoulders, so I had to ask you and your mama to get out of the bathtub.
Then, on your side on the bed, you emerged completely from Mama, and I placed you on Mama’s chest after briefly asking if she wished for this. And how she wished to have you in her arms!
Your placenta followed immediately. I had to briefly check on your papa to make sure everything was alright. But he was also happy about your birth, and the subsequent bleeding with the placenta only made him take notice for a moment. After that, everything was just fine.
You were here—big and beautiful! We admired you. Unfortunately, I only could for a short time, as I rushed off to the next birth. It was a pleasure for me to be there and to welcome you.
