12 February 2026 – Birth with an attending midwife

Your mama was the picture of calm. She even calmed your papa, who was a bit nervous at first. It was so beautiful to watch you both. A calm breath in, a calm breath out – with her eyes closed, your mama lay in the bathtub and I had the impression that nothing could disturb her peace, not even your advancing birth. And although your mama had already been working with and for you the night before, I never got the impression she was tired. Truly admirable. Early in the morning, Sara and I switched shifts and I left you in the middle of it all. I left with a truly beautiful feeling, because your mama was so centered.

I learned the evening before your birth that your mother’s first contractions had begun, and I was very happy. It was arranged with Lior that I would continue caring for you from 8:00 a.m. What a beautiful scene when I walked into the delivery room: lovely music was playing, your mother was so focused and dignified, present with herself and with you. You decided that in this atmosphere you wanted to come into the world very quickly to meet us all.

The intensity of the contractions increased and shortly afterward the cervix was already almost fully dilated. The last contractions before your arrival required tremendous strength. Your mother and I breathed through each contraction together and it was very intense because everything happened so quickly. And suddenly, back in the water, we saw your first hairs and a short time later you arrived in this world into arms full of love.

You are so strong and your birth was so empowering and powerful. And your mother was so strong for you, with all the love she carries for you. I wish you a life full of determination and strength. It was so beautiful that I could accompany you.
