February 26, 2026 – Attending Midwife Birth

It is wonderful that you are here. The birth you chose was truly special. For me, it was a very emotional conclusion, as you were likely the last baby I was able to accompany as an attending midwife after a long time.

Two weeks before your birth, I sat down with your mother. We discussed her wishes, and she told me about her most beautiful vision: that she wanted to give birth to you in the water, to pick you up herself, and to be able to feel your head before you were fully in the world. And that is exactly what you made possible for her.

It all began in the middle of the night. Your parents called me; the contractions were already quite strong. We expected a quick birth, so we arranged to meet at Triemli immediately.

I had been there for quite a while; the delivery room was ready and the bath was drawn. But there was no sign of your parents. For a moment, I was worried.

When I finally called your father, he gave the all-clear: your mother simply found it so beautiful outside, looking at the moon and the stars. I went out to join you and could understand her immediately – it was a starry sky, and the air smelled of spring.

Around 3:00 AM, we finally decided to head towards the delivery room. Your mother was impressively calm and centered. Shortly before the pushing stage, I suggested she get into the water, and only a little later – at 3:36 AM – you were already there.

I wish you a life full of love and ease. Hold on to the magic and beauty you showed even at your birth.
