May 13, 2026 – Booked Birth

Your mother impressed me already during her pregnancy. Although I was fully booked, we decided to see if I could attend your birth. But an inner voice told me early on: I will be there.

Just as I was having dinner with my family, your birth rapidly picked up pace. Your parents contacted me, feeling a bit uncertain. I told them to come when the contractions were every 5 minutes. But the contractions were already every 3 minutes. Well, usually, for such super-fast babies like you, I try to leave a little room for maneuver with a phrase or two.

Your mother wished for me to drop by briefly. When I arrived, your mother was kneeling on the living room floor, and your father was close by her. She reached for me, and I quickly realized: If you are still to be born in the hospital, then let’s go.

Your parents packed into the car, we sped over two speed bumps – and there we were, your father accompanying your mother into the delivery room. Into the bathtub, and a short time later, you were there. Your mother was still completely overwhelmed by what had happened, but overjoyed to hold you in her arms.

I was so glad to be there. I wish you much love and confidence on your journey through life, and I think you chose some pretty cool parents.
