It seems the stars were aligned for quick births this week. In the afternoon, we met again for a check-up past your mum’s due date. Your mum expressed very clearly that she wanted to experience a natural onset of labour. No sooner said than done: I gently encouraged your mum’s uterus to start producing waves, and it worked.
Once they were back home, they got in touch again because there was a bit more discharge, and a short time later we met at Triemli. By then, your birth was in full swing. Your mum moved into a side-lying position and did not want to—or could not—move away from it. She knew this from your sister’s birth. As I could see that you would be arriving soon, I let it happen. I organised everything for a safe birth and tried to explain the process to your dad briefly and clearly. He stayed by your mum’s side and supported her completely. And in a flash, it was all over. You were here—bright and healthy, and safely cradled in your mum’s arms. Dad could only marvel.
