April 6, 2026 – Attended birth by a personal midwife

Your consultation appointments with you and your mom were always very exciting. Not only because we could speak very openly with each other, but also because we laughed a lot. From the outside, it was a bit of an up and down. Towards the end, your big sister and various phases of illness kept your parents on their toes. Nevertheless, your parents were incredibly looking forward to your arrival, and so it was not surprising that, after a little nudge, you made your way on a magical spring weekend.

Your surges came more and more frequently, and we met late in the evening at Triemli. There, we prepared a ‘queen’s bath’ for you, which did both you and your mom good. The birth was already well underway, and the atmosphere was calm. Your dad was quietly by your side, and we observed what was happening. There wasn’t much more we had to do. You came closer all on your own.

Your mom was still wondering if you would arrive before midnight, but you decided on the time after. Once your water had broken, everything happened very quickly; you came around the bend and were born in the warm water. When your mom was ready to hold you in her arms, she took you to her, and everyone gazed at you in wonder. Healthy, perfect, and still covered in vernix, you lay in your mom’s arms and enjoyed your first breaths.

Welcome, little one – it was a joy to have been there.
